Supplementary budget awaits Senate approval….

The Lower House of Parliament has passed the supplementary budget for 2007/2008.

The budget which was recently submitted to the parliament by the Executive branch of government is ten million United States Dollars.

The budget donor support of nearly six million United States dollars, and also includes a non-donor of over four million United States dollars of government’s revenues.

The passage of the supplementary budget by the House Plenary followed its scrutiny by a joint Committee of the Ways, Means and Finance and the Account and Expenditure.

Our Legislative Reporter is quoted as saying, the budget has been sent to the senate for concurrence.
