Reshuffle inevitable in GOL says Pres. Sirleaf… - May 7, 2008

Reshuffle inevitable in government, says Pres. Sirleaf…

“Plans are under way to clean my Government because, I read an article in the Front Page Africa Newspaper, that problems exist at the Free Port of Monrovia and other areas.”

The words of President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf upon arrival at the Robert International Airport in Margibi County, following her return from the United States of America.

President Johnson-Sirleaf says she will shortly institute measures to ensure, that the business of the people is properly carried out in line with her constitutional mandate.

Commenting on some benefits about her trip, the Liberian Chief Executive says the John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital, will soon be refurbished with modern equipment and drugs, so that Liberians will stay home to seek medication instead of going abroad.

According to President Johnson- Sirleaf, other Government Hospitals in the country will be rehabilitated, staffed and medically equipped as in the case of the Telewoyan Hospital in Voinjama, Lofa County.

She says the Cuban Government has agreed to send fifty doctors to Liberia to help improve the Country’s health sector.
