Liberians urged to invest in agriculture…
Deputy Agriculture Minister for Planning, James Logan says the involvement of partners in upgrading the agriculture sector of the country is essential.
He said, government is exerting efforts to collaborate with other international partners, enhance the work of Liberians in investing in the soil.
Speaking Thursday in Paynesville, at the start of a two-day strategic planning workshop, the Deputy Agriculture Minister urged Liberians to complement government’s efforts to combat food insecurity in the country.
Also speaking, the Director of Planning and Policy at the Agriculture Ministry, Ousman Tall, described the country’s agriculture sector as one of the major areas to be given key attention.
He said, when such is done, it will buttress Government’s programs in terms of income generation, including foreign exchange earnings amongst others
