Bong Legislative Caucus lauds Pres. Sirleaf’s suspension of Superintendent Jackson
The Bong County Legislative Caucus says, it welcome President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf’s recent Administrative action against Bong County Superintendent, Rannie Jackson.
The Caucus Chairman, Representative George Mulbah said, President Johnson-Sirleaf informed the Caucus before suspending Superintendent Jackson.
Representative Mulbah said, the Caucus wants speedy and transparent investigation into the matter. He also said the crisis in Bong is about the County leadership and warned those bent on fermenting confusion to desist.
Superintendent Jackson was suspended last week by President Johnson-Sirleaf on allegation of misapplication of over one hundred forty seven thousand United States dollars of Bong County Development Funds.
Meanwhile, Bong County Senator Franklin Siakor has denied media reports linking him to the alleged miss-appropriation of the Bong County Development fund.
In an interview with ELBC Monday, Senator Siakor said, at no time did he participate in the alleged miss-use of development funds intended for the County.
He said at the time of the development fund discussion he was ill and wondered why the local daily will link him as one of those who allegedly misused the Bong Development Fund.
According to him, the on-going investigation will bring the truth to light.
