Agreement to train the Liberian Army ends…
The Defense Ministry has officially announced that the DynCorp training of the Armed Forces of Liberia (AFL) will close at the end of this month.
According to the Defense Ministry, the agreement between the Liberian Government and the United States to train two thousand AFL
Soldiers has been completed.
The disclosure was made Wednesday in Monrovia by Assistant Defense Minister for Public Affairs Ambrose Nmah.
Assistant Minister Nmah said the AFL failed to obtain the thirty percent female target because of the perception by some Liberians that the Army is only about using weapons.
He said, the Army has several opportunities, including what he called White and blue collar jobs.
