Food security is important; Acting Agri. Minister…
Acting Agriculture Minister, Louopu Kandakai, wants Liberian design strategies to ensure food security in the country.
Minister Kandakai said the issue of food security has become a global concern; as such it must be taken seriously.
She said, with the many assistances from national and international partners, Liberia can only achieve in it food security initiative, when these assistances are properly managed.
The Acting Agriculture Ministry Boss spoke Saturday at the handing over of foundation seeds from the Africa Rice Center (WARD), to the Central Agriculture Research Institution (CARI), in Suakoko, Bong County. She said the presentation of the seeds to CARI will help solve the seed problem faced by farmers in the country.

Investors expressed interest in Liberia…
The Acting Chairman of the National Investment Commission, Peter Norman says NIC remains committed to attracting more foreign investors to engage in all sectors of the Liberian economy.
According to Mr. Norman, Liberia has a very attractive investment climate.
He said despite the global financial crisis, investors continue to express interest in the country.
He spoke over the weekend in Monrovia when he deputized for the NIC chairman, Dr. Richard Tolbert at the signing ceremony held on the office of the National Oil Company of Liberia.
