Rivercess County Education Officer dismissed for theft…
The County Education Officer of Rivercess, James Baryougar, has been dismissed by authorities at the Education Ministry.
Mr. Baryougar, according to a release, was sacked for selling school materials and supplies intended for distribution to schools in the county.
Mr. Baryougar dismissal comes in the wake of investigations conducted by the Ministry into school materials and supplies distributed across the country.
During the investigation, it revealed that the County Education Officer of Rivercess was caught selling huge quantity of the instructional materials intended for Rivercess.
Meanwhile, the Education Ministry has appointed the Resident District Education Officer, Advertus Gweh, to serve as Acting County Education Officer.
The Ministry is also warning its employees who are in such malpractices to immediately desist, as individuals caught in such act will be dismissed and prosecuted.
