Adele has postponed her residency in Las Vegas.

The 33-year-old singer wept as she announced on Thursday that she had been forced to delay the start of her highly anticipated concert series at the famed Caesars Palace hotel due to cases of COVID-19 in her crew.

Adele admitted she was ‘disgusted’ at not being able to take the stage on Friday night and was ’embarrassed’ by the delay.

She said in a video shared to her social media: “”I’m so sorry, but my show is not ready.

“We tried absolutely everything we could to get it in place on time and to get it good enough for you, but we were absolutely destroyed by delivery delays and Covid. Half my crew and my team are [ill] with Covid and still are, and it was impossible to complete the show.

“I’m disgusted – I’m sorry, this is so last minute, we’ve been awake for over 30 hours trying to figure it out and we’ve run out of time. I’m so upset and I’m really embarrassed and really sorry for anyone who has traveled to get [to the show]. I’m really, really sorry.”

The “Can I Get It” singer has pledged to reschedule canceled concerts.

She added, “We’re going to reschedule all the dates, we’re in it right now, and I’m going to finish my show and bring it to where it’s supposed to be. We’ve been through so much and that’s it. just not ready. I’m so sorry.

The ‘Weekends With Adele’ residency was announced in November.

The ‘Easy On Me’ hitmaker was scheduled to perform two on-site shows every weekend until April 16, 2022, a 12-week run.

It is not yet known what the new start date for the concert series will be.
