Ally Sheedy is “completely done with men”.
The ‘Breakfast Club’ actress – who divorced David Lansbury in 2008 after 16 years of marriage – has revealed it’s been a long time since she’s been looking for love.
She told Closer magazine in the US: “I’m completely done with men. I’ve been for years.
“I just feel like I’ve been through so many different phases and that feels good.
“Now if I could just stay in this place where I’m happy with my home and my god. I have a few close friends, who I love. That’s enough.”
The 59-year-old star admitted she ‘never’ likes going out, meaning she’s found the pandemic quite easy when it comes to ‘isolation’.
She explained, “I’m a loner. I never like to go out, so I actually didn’t struggle with the isolation aspects of COVID.
“I like to be at home. I like to be quiet. I like to listen to the news or read a book and decompress in silence. That’s pretty much my favorite thing to do.
“And that’s true whether I work from home or any hotel room. I just make it a home and take time for myself.”
She revealed that her son Beckett, 27, did not follow in her footsteps by pursuing a career in showbiz, becoming a science teacher instead.
And reflecting on herself at this point in life, she noted that she was glad things weren’t “so intense all the time”.
She added: “I feel a lot more settled in myself. I have a kind of satisfaction with where I am right now.
“I love my child, I think he is doing very well.
“I think you come to a particular time in life where there just isn’t all the old drama. It’s not all that intense all the time.”
