The Colts aren’t one of the worst teams in the league right now, but they play like this, and things are unlikely to improve when they take on the Ravens.
The Indianapolis offensive line has been a mess without Quenton Nelson and Braden Smith and they have already given up double-digit sack counts this season.
They haven’t been good at opening holes for running back Jonathan Taylor, either, and those struggles are likely to continue when they face Baltimore’s fierce defensive front.
The Ravens don’t have the same defense they did in Ray Lewis’ days, but they’re very good.
They rank 12th overall in the NFL’s total defense and that defense demonstrated its talents against the Denver Broncos in Week 4.
They held Denver to seven points and, aside from a 31-yard monster led by Javonte Williams, they stopped the Broncos completely.
This marked the second week in a row the Ravens have managed to lock in an attack, although the first week was against the struggling Detroit Lions.
With the Colts barely lighting up the NFL on offense – they currently rank 26th in all-out offense – it should be another week to keep an opponent under 20 points.
If that happens, the Ravens can cover a 6.5-point home gap under the Monday night lights.
