Jerry Seinfeld paid tribute to Liz Sheridan.

The 67-year-old comedian starred as a semi-fictionalized version of himself on the classic sitcom ‘Seinfeld’ and took to Twitter to mourn the loss of Liz Sheridan, who played his overprotective mother Helen in the ‘episode. The 93-year-old actress died Friday of natural causes.

He wrote: “Liz has always been the sweetest, kindest TV mother a son could ever wish for. Every time she came on our show it was the most comfortable feeling for me. So much lucky to have known her.”

Jason Alexander – who played Seinfeld’s best friend and sidekick George Costanza on the long-running sitcom – also paid tribute upon hearing the news.

He tweeted: “Oh my God I just learned of the passing of Liz Sheridan. She was such a gracious and gracious person and actress that you will never meet. A fascinating life. A wonderful woman. Rest well. “

Liz, who was married to Dale Wales from 1985 until his death in 2003 and has her daughter Stephanie with him, was also known for her role as nosy neighbor Mrs Ochmonek on the sitcom ALF. She died just five days after her 93rd birthday and passed away “peacefully in her sleep”, according to her publicist Amanda Hendon.

She said in a statement: “Liz passed away peacefully in her sleep of natural causes at 2:30 a.m. Friday. Elizabeth Ann Sheridan aka Liz Sheridan passed away peacefully in her sleep of natural causes at 2:30 a.m. on Friday, April 15, 2022 just five days after her 93rd birthday, she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law.
