Lady Gaga will be making an 11,000 mile round trip for this year’s BAFTAs.

The 35-year-old star missed the event in 2019 despite being nominated for a gong – but this time she plans to fly from the US to London to attend the ceremony at the Royal Albert Hall.

A source said: “Lady Gaga’s schedule was really busy when she was nominated for ‘A Star Is Born’ in 2019 and she just couldn’t cope with the trip. But after the past two years of almost no showbiz event, she took the invite to come to Britain’s biggest film night.”

The pop singer was nominated for Best Actress gong for her role in ‘House of Gucci’.

And event organizers are looking forward to welcoming Gaga on March 13.

The insider told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “She’s one of the most famous women in the world, so BAFTA bosses are delighted she’s confirmed she’ll be flying for the ceremony.

“Her performance in ‘House Of Gucci’ was critically acclaimed, so there’s every chance she’ll come out on top that night.”

Gaga starred as Patrizia Reggiani – the Italian socialite who was convicted of hiring a hitman to kill her husband – in the drama directed by Sir Ridley Scott.

And the pop star’s mother loved staying in character while she filmed the film.

Asked about her approach to the film, Gaga shared, “I think my mom really liked it. She’s always embraced that artistic side of me, ever since I was a little girl.

“My dad was laughing. I drove some people crazy, sure, but you know, I’m like a kid with art and I like to immerse myself.”
