Match preview

Feyenoord edged Marseille to a five-goal epic in the first leg of their Europa Conference League semi-final at their home of Rotterdam and there should be plenty more drama to come in the second leg at the Stade Velodrome.

Goals have been a common theme in Feyenoord’s Europa Conference League outings this season and their 3-2 win over Marseille was their tenth successive European game in which both sides have scored and at least three goals have been scored.

The Dutch have won five matches in a row in all competitions, but have only managed one clean sheet in their last 15 games. Marseille can therefore imagine their chances of taking their revenge at home.

That said, for all their attacking quality, the Ligue 1 side also have things to prove defensively and they have only had one shutout in 14 home games, suggesting this second leg could once again be a all-out attack.
