The three Perez brothers, of Rochdale, have won numerous gold medals from two recent tournaments.
Older brother Andrew, 11, won the double gold at the All Stars Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Southern Pro near London on Sunday 14 November after claiming gold at the Nottingham Open the previous weekend. The Holy Family student holds a gray belt and competed in the 34 kg in the gi and no-gi categories.
Nine-year-old Collin also won the double gold in the Southern Pro after competing in both gi and no-gi in the 30kg weight group. Collin also holds a gray belt.
And while the younger brother, Ethan, seven, was the only contender in his class, the white belt fighter was not discouraged, challenging himself to fight in a heavier class where he got the double. silver. Ethan, who attends St Vincent’s Catholic Primary School with Collin, also managed to win gold at the Nottingham Open the previous Sunday.

The boys’ parents plan to take Andrew to the IBJJ Pan American Children’s World Championships in Los Angeles next year, the world’s largest children’s jiu-jitsu tournament and will soon start raising funds to help cover the costs. .
The three brothers train for the Sukata team in Warrington under the black belt of coach Lee Simpson. In addition to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, they train in Judo at the Bacup Judo Club and Judo Excellence Club in Hebden Bridge, Wrestling at Bolton Wrestling Club and Thai Boxing at Valley Thai Boxing Club in Whitworth.
