“At that time, we didn’t know it was going to be eight films and what a sacrifice it would be. Going back to school for exams was the weirdest thing. I had been in this very adult work environment. was a very different way of growing up, but there are no regrets.

‘Harry Potter’ author JK Rowling has been vilified and branded a transphobe for her belief in biological sex, and Rupert compared her relationship with the writer to that of an ‘aunt’ with whom he still has a bond, even if he does not share his opinions.

He told The Times magazine: “I compare JK Rowling to an aunt. I don’t necessarily agree with everything my aunt says, but she’s still my aunt. It’s tricky.”
