Former Genesis guitarist Steve Hackett got lost in the graveyard of Liverpool Cathedral, as in the “Interview with the Vampires” scene.
The acclaimed musician wanted a closer look at the iconic cathedral in the morning after a gig in a British city, but recalled the 1994 horror film starring Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt. I endured the horrible experience that gave me.
A source told BANG Showbiz, âHe knew he had to go back to the hotel right away as the band left for Stoke’s concert that night.
âAs he approached the cathedral, the clouds fell and he was invited inside, where he was immediately given a sheet of hymns and surrounded by people who wished he didn’t leave. I noticed that.
âFinally, he paused and turned to a graveyard lined with tombstones and walled up the basement⦠he got lost in it for a while and walked into the scene. I felt like I was being sucked in. “Interview with a vampire” – I was swallowed and sucked into a sarcophagus⦠he was able to get out on time to meet the others on the bus – Before they left! “
