Have a nice weekend everyone, it’s just as sunny as last week but it’s definitely not as hot.
Met Eireann says there will be a few light showers around Leeside later but they won’t be too much of a concern.
The main change is the temperature today, as we saw it drop from the glorious 18C a few weeks ago to a range of 8C-10C today.
Tonight things will drop down to -2°C and a light breeze will blow as that happens.
Sunday will bring more rain, yes, but it will be a bit warmer up to around 12°C. But there is hope next week, as mercury readings will really rise again.
Met Eireann said: “Today the sun will start with cloud formation in the afternoon bringing a few light showers. Highs of 8-10 degrees with light northwesterly or variable winds, becoming southerly late in the day.
“The showers will die off and Saturday night will be mostly dry and. Clouds will form later with rain developing on the western coasts in the morning. Lowest temperatures of minus 2 to plus 2 degrees with light southerly winds cooling and becoming strong from the southeast to the west in the morning.
“Mainly cloudy tomorrow, Sunday, with rain in the southwest becoming heavy over the mountains. Highs of 11 or 12 degrees in cooling southeast winds.”
As for next week, there is good news as temperatures are expected to soar.
Although we have -2C on Saturday evening, it will be very different late on Sunday as it will only drop to around 6C.
Monday is going to be humid and hot with lots of rain and temperatures of 14°C but Tuesday will see the heaviest.
It will then be up to 16°C, but the showers will become heavy and the rest of the week will remain on this theme.
