Match preview

Despite being just three points off the Champions League places, Wolves have gone unnoticed to many in the Premier League this quarter, but they can continue their quiet ascent with a win over Burnley this week.

Bruno Lage’s men have lost just one of their last eight league games, winning five of those games, and moved up to sixth place with their point against Norwich last time around.

They were arguably missing the creativity of Daniel Podence, who is isolating himself with Covid-19, in this contest, but they should be confident of breaking Burnley at Molineux.

Sean Dyche’s men have seen Sunday’s game with Tottenham postponed due to the weather and although they have taken five points in three games they have still won only once in the league all season .

They will also be without key players James Tarkowski and Ashley Westwood, who were unable to serve their suspension this weekend, and are worth opposing.

Key statistic

Wolves have lost just two of their last ten Premier League games.
